Vandals destroy mailboxes

At least eight mailboxes were destroyed or vandalized on South County Road A sometime Saturday night or early Sunday morning. The damaged boxes were on the east side of the road between Four Corners and Half Mile Road.

One resident found a broken hand tool near their mailbox that was likely used to batter the mailboxes.

The Douglas County Sheriff's Department is investigating the vandalism.
